You are correct about the avoidance of the jury trial. When I was ticketed for possession of that dangerous marijuana, I screwed with them big time. First, I called for the supervisor on the spot. Then I refused to plea bargain. I put the money down for the jury trial.
The persecuter said she couldn't plea bargain with me because the only charge less was a barking dog. I laughed out loud right there. Then they tried to add another charge of possession of paraphenalia. That didn't work either. When ot came down to the day of trial, she dismissed it because the agent had no probable cause.
Like it says on my signature, you have no rights unless you exercise them.
I truly enjoy your posts, but I am saddened because of the reason you have to post them. This should have never became an issue. We would be so much better off with no prohibition.
