I am bowing out of this debate as it is becoming crass and small minded.

The only conclusion I have drawn from this is that some people, as CowMan has pointed out, are unwilling to give other music a chance, and are determined to preach their own beliefs regardless.

I personally dig all kinds of music from Electronica to Chopin Piano Concerto's and pretty much everything in between as long as it sounds good, which in the end of the day is the whole point of music, whether youre a cheap and lazy techno producer or an ultra talented guitarist it doesn't matter.

"with a program like FruityLoops you can make fairly professional sounding techno with no previous experience or musical knowledge, in a matter of hours"

No you cannot, unless you are a natural musical genius mate, that statement should read more like this

"With a programme like fruity loops you can put together a simple drum loop with no previous experience or musical knowledge that will sound awful even after a couple of days"
