I wonder what it is he meant by new music.
|
I really just meant new to me honestly, not necessarily new in the sense of when it came out, I've got plenty of stuff, new and old. I just want stuff that's new to me.

There are some bands that are 'shoulds', while others are 'musts', like:
The Allman Brothers Band
The Who
Opeth
The Mars Volta
ZZ Top
Megadeth : Rust in Peace & Peace Sells ... But Who's Buying?
The Misfits
White Zombie
Alice in Chains
If I had never heard the music of these bands, I'd consider myself completely deprived.

TABB I'll check into.
The Who are alright, but overrated.
Opeth I haven't heard much from, but I haven't been turned off to them.
TMV is good, Frances has far too much noise just for the sake of noise however. Tremulant and Deloused were good though.
ZZ Top I'm not interested in.
Megadeth, see above.
The Misfits are alright, Danzig is a character.
White Zombie I'm not really interested in exploring any more than I already have.
Alice In Chains was fantastic, I've already got everything they've put out. Every album, the DVD, the box set as well as that recent reunion deal.
Gunpei here's a few, I'll come back and separate them or something shortly:
