The thing with human evolution (caracterized by a specie working has society) is you can only go so far before fucking the ecosystem up... At least within the concepts of duality and ego...
See you cant imagine us living 60 million years more... Because you can be sure has hell we'll have fucked everything and there will be no more water and ect ect...
The only possibility of us becomming something superior would be
1- travelling in space to extend our territory has species, find new ressources... ect
2- actually working with your ecosystem and controlling and putting moderation to our immediate behaviour... ect
For both of them we are quite far from having achieved...
Has for the thing of beeing treated by vermin by superior beeings, I think that if they actually became superior it must be because they found out that they were better off treating everything with respect...
I mean it's obvious that we could offer some piece of information about a thing or two... The best deal for everyone is working together sharing and ect...
And I believe superior people would of understood that... or else they would of wiped each other out themselves...
