I have another story about religious manipulation. My mother grew up in a small community which was pentacostal dominated, they were not allowed to have a television until the pastor got one, it was ok then. Girls/women could not wear jeans until the pastor's daughter started wearing them, women could not wear make up until the pastor's wife started wearing it. Every month the congregation had to give a tithe to the curch and times had to go without basic necessaties, anyone here familar with this religion?
