"Superior" is a subjective measurement from one's current understanding and position, it is not a universal ruling.

Evolution is the relationship between the organism and environment. It is NOT a one way, linear progression to something bigger, faster, stronger, better. This is a common misconception.

Many things are "superior" to humans in regards to physical ability. There's other organisms that are faster, stronger, deadlier, that can hold their breath long, etc. These traits would be seen as superior. However, humans have the greatest intelligence through which they dominate.

We'd then, by our measure, percieve superior as somehting more intelligent. Considering intelligence is a culturally conditioned thing (feral children for instance) a "superior" species would have a depth and structure of culture that aids them in intellectual development and understanding. They'd then probably be a peaceful people, recognizing the importance of cooperation and aiding one another. This would bring about peace on their planet allowing them to develope beyond. The other type of species would be on that physically dominated a species, perhaps making the others extinct. They'd then as a unified whole in their own progress beyond their plant holding onto their traditions of brutally and aggression.

We'd be a species that's in the middle, deciding which path to take. Imo. And this opinion might change tomorrow cuz I'm pretty fucke d up. Peace!
