I totally know what you mean by this. I used to pick myself apart so much that, after hours of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I'd get all discouraged because I couldn't figure out what it was. Then, it would occur to me, "maybe I don't have a problem?" Of course, then the problem became obvious. I was picking myself apart too much, and needed to work on my self-trust, and self-criticism issues.
When it comes to self-trust, I just can't rely on myself.
