so the 4yo and i were playing spoony-forky after supper, which is the game of getting out the box of fancy silverware and acting out some story with silverware people. the spoons are the girls and the forks are the boys, and theres grown ups and big kids and babies

so once we established this whole family hierarchy, the grown-ups (played by her) begin spanking the children (played by me) and send them crying (wah wah) to bed (back into their place in the box) and make a snoring sound.
so while this is going on, the fork and spoon doing all the spanking are having this conversation:
"yeah! spank those babies! lets do some spankin!"
"Oh, you really sent 'em cryin!"
"Yeah thats great!"
"Send em to bed!"
"Spank them to bed!"

so i asked her, "what do you do when a naughty little kid wont go to bed?
and she said, "just keep on spankin em!"
i asked, "so if i ever find a naughty little kid who wont go to bed, what should i do?"
she thought about that for a while and said, "hug her."

so then we played for a while and then she farted so loud, i said "Ah! what was that?!"
and she says pure serious, "dont worry veda, its just my bum making that pooting noise."

and so i decided that should be posted.
