I've definitely been able to think about it to the point where I can simulate the experience of death. Rather, what I would feel like and be experiencing had I no brain or physical body barriers. This is what makes me feel I should act the way I do.

But I don't see a reason why you would think you could know what actually happens to you when you die. To me, you either are or you aren't yourself after you die. That's as far as I've been able to logically deduce. For me to come to my latest conclusion I definitely had to consider that I would lose my body and maintain my identity, and that certainly had an effect on my decision to come to said conclusion, but I saw no reason why I would actually believe that unless I had some reason to.
