Meh. Machiavelli had some nice ideas, and he is an important writer for anyone into politics, but his "Il Principe" should be read in a historical context... It's much like Sun Tzu's "Art of War", in the sense that both are strategical manuals wich deal with problems relevant to the times they where written in, but some of the ideas proposed in those books can be modernised.
