Only the 2nd clean sweep ever, last one was 80 odd years ago, just after WW1.
The Poms came away with nothing. Most Aussies would have preferred a closer contest. But I knew we would dominate with bat and ball. Stuart Clarke's performance was great over the series, Symonds first century was mighty to watch.....as was Gilly's 100 wtf, 2nd fastest of all time, 2nd to Viv Richards fucking ages ago. I love Viv though and am glad to see him still holding the record....even if only by one ball.
Stulic - If you want to know the rules post a question, this thread is about cricket so what dont you get?...the 5 day thing...two innings etc?
And, what's your interest 7?
As for me, I used to play heaps of backyard cricket as a kid, and started watching back then. Most of those early days were with AB as captain, I loved David Gower, then Mark Waugh (best ever, that I've seen). One Dayers....awesome.
But nothing beats the Ashes.
Last summer was my first season playing cricket. I loved it. I hadnt played a sport in 10 years...since high school. I got the third highest runs with a top score of 62no, and got 2nd most wickets. I was put into 3rd grade, we ended up losing in the grand final, so it was almost a fairytale. The runners-up are supposed to go up into 2nd grade, but our club lost over half of their line-up so 5 of our top 6 players went up grades in a massive shuffle that has left me with a few of last years team as captain in 4th grade. I've scored my maiden century this year, 108, then followed it up with 109. I think we are 2nd on the table atm after just winning first innings on the weekend.
Pretty boring stuff for ppl not interested, my apologies. I'll go away happily if none reply
