Vista is similar to OSX because OSX is a good OS. I think I already went over this. I'm not sure what you're talking about WRT to "blinders" and such. I think you're a little crazy. Also, it's verifiably true that Vista had some of OSX's features before OSX did (such as Windows Search [vs. OSX's Spotlight]). I'm not sure why this is a huge deal to you, except that I believe you attach your ego to your OS in an unhealthy way. Get over it. Get over yourself.

Excuuuuse the poor pic, but every icon in the doc (menu bar) besides a few that are set is running. 28 apps open at once. Yeah, I would like to see Windows do that 3 years ago without going to it's knees.
|
Why is it that you think additional applications tax the OS's coding? Context switches are done virtually the same under any implementation. Save all needed variables, load the new program counter and memory locations, execute, repeat. Windows or OSX, assuming the hardware is about the same, will perform about equally in that situation. The OS is going to give lower priority to apps that haven't been used recently, so the mere fact that they're "running" (can you make a window out of a program that's NOT running? Zombie windows!) is completely irrelevant.
So, on that note, I can produce a screenshot with 28 windows on a computer that's three years old if you'd like.

And I'm glad you are with the majority. Probably voted for bushy too. If you really used Macs you would know the truth but you probably used a Mac running OS9 back in the 90's. You have no clue.

What the fuck does voting for Bush have to do with anything? You're insane.

Without out a hack? How about a link. Like most Gates fan-boys you never provide links to your assertions, just shoot shit out your hole.

Seriously man, you need a good anti-psychotic. You act like dual-booting a Vista installation is some magical tome of arcane knowledge that no one is privvy to. It's easy to do.

As I've said 100xs, I use Windows XP at work and my wife has a brand new IBM ThinkPad and she has always had a Windows machine. Unlike the people here who trash Macs, I KNOW WHAT I"M TALKING about.

So far you've been wrong about
:
1) Macs having all the features Windows Vista is implementing first.
2) Running multiple applications.
3) My voting habits.
4) Dual-booting Vista.
5) Me being a gates fanboy (This computer is only for gaming, that's why I boot windows. I'll probably get a Mac laptop to work on - you even read that thread, further showing me that you're a little bitch who's so hung up on his fanboyism that he can't stand to see anyone say anything good about anything that's not white with a letter i in front of it - and I use Linux at school - I just hate retards like you!)
I would venture that you do not, in fact, have a clue what you're talking about, and you just can't stand to see anyone say "OS <name> is good" because you're an enormous tool.

Oh, and does everyone like paying the $399.00 to upgrade - nobody seems to be pissed about the price at all - all is well in Windblows world. Seems like the Windows fan-boys are more than willing to bend over and ask for another slap on their gay asses from Gates.
|
So now you're homophobic too? Nice. Sports Illustrated doesn't have this many issues.
FYI,
OSX costs as much as a
Windows XP Upgrade. Given that both OSes are the same age, that's what you should be comparing.
Also, a Mac fanboy bringing up price? iPods or iPhones anyone?
