Maybe if there were some dope free styling and a live band(ala the roots), it would be worth paying for, but trying to replicate studio tracks on a stage with a dj, and half of the crew is ridiculous...
How many times did each member pimp his latest project, because I know that was worth the money and time right?

maybe the hip-pop a lot of you kids listen to. minus the roots of course, they're for real, but i definitely agree with like all mainstream [i consider wu-tang mainstream too, don't try to even argue against it. everyone one here knows who they are, and they've had their share of tracks on mtv, so don't even start);
i saw the fugees play with the roots when i was 12. a dope comedian who was on just for laughs within a yr or two of that show opened for them. it was one of the best live shows i've ever seen PERIOD, and i've seen At The Drive-In and Bowie live.. [steely dan too, although that show wasn't uber in terms of performance, just the fact they were playing a show was enough, haha]. i still say a rapper and a dj when done right can be about as entertaining as it gets, (fresh prince and jazzy jeff, charizma and pb wolf, KMD (subroc on the tables), de la soul (plug 3, MASE), etc.
then again, i'm stuck in 1992, hahah
