You do not have my sympathy. Either it should be legalized 100% or we all have to play by the same rules.

That's a pretty harsh statement you made there. What gives you the impression that medical users don't give a shit if recreational users get popped? Sure, they lucked-out by living in a medical MJ State, but saying all medical users are only watching out for themselves is a pretty generalized notion.
I've been tokin since 1969 as a recreational user. About 10 yrs ago, I was diagnosed with spinal-stenosis & weed helps alleviate the pain. Sadly, though, I live in the Bible-Belt & medical MJ isn't even an option here. My pain management doc loads me up on methadone, but also has no problem with my weed use. He's told me that if this State ever went 'medical MJ', he'd scrip me out in a second. Fortunately, I know 3 growers who comp me a bunch of assorted strains & flavors & I have enough weed to last me years.
I agree that we should ALL be allowed the benefits of cannabis, but just because the fucked-up govt doesn't see it that way is not the fault of the medical-users. They just happened to be living in the right place at the right time.
I've been waiting for outright Legalization since certain States started decriminalizing in 1974. I was living in Denver at the time & CO made 'under 1 oz = $25 citation'. I knew for sure we'd be buying weed in liquor stores by 1980. Then Nancy Reagan came along with her "Just Say No" horseshit & that set us back 50 yrs. Now at age 54, I highly doubt I'll live to see the day of outright Legalization. I had such high hopes [pardon the pun] of being able to purchase weed legally in a liquor store 1 day. Now? I'll be dead before this govt sees the light.
