1st of all, you have my sympathy for living in Buffalo. Not that there's anything wrong with the people up there...they're very cool...in fact, probably downright COLD!!
I lived in Chicago & Denver for 30+ yrs, so I'm well-accustomed to snow & never want to deal with it again. Now I'm in the South & our winters are 40 -- 50 degrees...which suits me well.
But let me get this straight...you say -- "My wife doesn't approve"? WTF, man? Who wears the fuckin pants? Did the old lady know you toked BEFORE your marriage? I can just picture my wife telling me no more tokin weed. LOL!!
I've quit the booze & the cigs for my health, but after 40 yrs of doobage pleasure, I'll be damned if someone is gonna dictate what I do to relax in the evening.
If you don't beat your wife...keep a roof over your families' heads...keep them fed...then what you do as a hobby is YOUR decision, not hers. If the smoke bothers her, toke in a designated room without permeating the rest of your crib.
I hope you're not 1 of those "Yes dear, No dear" kinda guys.
