It's the old man who throweth the lightning bolts. The Lord just yells a lot and kicketh people out of the temple when he gets mad.
* Germination was started 11/2, sprouts transplanted to soil in cups 11/8, seedlings transplanted to big pots 11/15
* Soil is Foxfarm with additional perlite, 75/25 soil/perlite
* 3 gallon containers
* 430W Philips son agro on light rail, 30" travel, 24 second delay, about 20" above pots
* Room is about 8'x16'x8'
* Veg fert: Fish/molasses, 2.1,0.2,6.6, 1 ml/lt
* Water pH 6.0
* Room maintains 66-82F, 40-70% humidity, OAT's are hitting the low 40's at night, and very very dry. Environment is California Sierra foothills, elev. 2,000
* heat (for now) is generated only by the lamp only, humidity from a DIY Rube Goldberg dog waterer with sponges and small fan
* As the OAT's drop and the lamp goes off during the day, heat will be maintained by an oil radiator space heater on temp relay
* carbon filter is currently disconnected - very little stink at this point
To the peanut gallery (you cruel bastards!):
1) Yes, the Lord doth knoweth the room should be reflective. You should see all the gallons and gallons of flat white paint - underneath all that beautiful new insulation. (Kicks self in ass...) It'll eventually get painted again, but it's not dark at all, as the photos suggest. The apparent darkness is the result of trying to get decent photos under the HPS.
2) If your children are much bigger than this in 25 days, the Lord can only wondreth if you're counting germination and sprouting/seedling time... or if maybe your memory is erm... affected? The plants go almost dormant upstairs when transplanted into the big pots, while growth concentrates on the roots playing around in all that dirt... but you knew that, right?
Peace & Love
