Hi, I am happy to find your thread. Thank you for the detailed information. I will be taking
my own hair test at a certified lab in 2 days and will post the results. I will use Idavisa method (with a few substitutions) today and again on the day of the test followed by the Zydot shampoo. I will post more specifics after I pass.
However, I want to comment about the math and the ratios of shampoo, Clorox and H2O2. There are 8 oz in a cup and so if you use only a tablespoon of Clorox and H2O2 for 1 cup of shampoo, it is NOT as strong as the original Idavisa formula (1.5 oz, 1 tsp, 1 tsp)
I have extremely long, shiny, strawberry blond hair and I am worried about damaging it, but I will give it a shot and and get back to you.
Question: If the treatment (homemade or purchased) strips the metabolites then why does it matter if you do the treatment the day of the test? If the metabolites are gone it shouldn't matter.
I purchased Zydot and Folli-Kleen before finding Precision Cleanse Afterburner which looks very appealing to me. (I will try that if the Idavisa method doesn't work for some reason.)
Ok, I'm off to my well ventilated shower....more in a few days. Wish me luck!
