Damn(eth.) The Lord's neighborhood hath officially hit that worstest part of early winter (for the Lord, anyway.) Warm days and chilly nights. It was 75 today and will drop into the mid 30's overnight. Damn hard as hell to get things set up where you can leave it all alone during this time of year.
The Holy Groweth room did okay during the day - got into the low 80s, but it was dry, and the fan had to run run run and the DIY humidamufuckah couldn't keep up.
I bought a little battery-op "meditation" fountain and raped it for the pump and battery pack. Added it to the humidamufuckah so it's like a little swamp cooler now. RH was up to 40% from 30% when I shut down for the evening, but I'll have to wait for tomorrow afternoon to see if it actually does anything. I'll put it on a DC adapter if it works. If not, I guess I'll bite the bullet and buy an honest-to-God humidifier. (...which will of course Goddamn guarantee the weather will immediately turn to wet, cold days...)
Or... Maybe I'll make a bigger DIY humidamufuckah, and then a BIGGER one, and then...
It's fun to play with shit, regardless.
