I believe sony and panasonic(maybe?) have higher support for +r, and some of the other big names in the disc using industry(media players) have better support for -r. For your purposes it probably doesnt matter. But if you have say a sony burner and use a ps3 for your media player i would probably grab +r. And google is your friend for simple questions like this.
