I have not used any Canna yet except for Rhizotonic (their shit is extremely expensive, I am going to start making teas, just a poor medical user here). Have been using PBP and other left-overs from hydro. My PH of nutes going in is the same as my hydro, 5.8 - 6.0. I only water when the soil feels semi-dry and then I water to 40% run-off and that is held in a tray to be absorbed into the hydroton at the bottom of the pots.
Seedlings started in this are also outstanding. 10 days since sprout and 4th set of leaving going and have to be taken out of starter cups and into large containers because they were getting root bound. I have not seen anything like it. Good luck with yours; where's the pics?
