Band of Horses...

...were surprisingly the loudest band I've ever seen. Wouldn't think it, but they were. Not heaviest, but loudest. The main dude is Ben Bridwell who was in Carissa's Wierd along Mat Brooke was in BOH for a bit, but he's now in Grand Archives who are also on Sub Pop.

As for what they sound like they get compared to My Morning Jacket a lot, only I like them more because they seem a little tighter and rockier. His vocals get compared to Jim James/early Neil Young or Wayne Coyne, but I don't really think it's derivative or anything. It is the perfect music to go for a nice drive while high when it just starts to get warm out.

Anyway, I love them a lot, and here are their two albums while I'm on my uploading spree.
