I agree with Bill Mahr on many issues, but I think he is a huge douchebag when it comes to religion. I do think that people who are religious zealots are crazed, dangerous, and way out of line. But what makes him any better? My main problem with people who are religion-obsessed is that they can't just live and let live, they have to try and tell everyone else what they should be doing with their own lives. Well guess what, Bill Mahr? Going around attacking people who choose to tap into their spiritual side, acting like you have to be a complete moron who doesn't know any better in order to subscribe to any religion- that is just as intrusive as someone coming up to me and trying to bully me into coming to their church. It's all about accepting each other, regardless of our religious practices or lack thereof. I won't give anyone shit for choosing not to believe in anything, that's their right. However, I don't appreciate people acting like I am an uninformed moron just because I feel like my life is more complete with a little bit of faith sprinkled in.
