This topic has the word Mom in it alot, no? What about Single men and families on welfare, or dead beat Dad's being the reason some of these people have to be on it?

My wife's Mom had to be on it back in the early 80s when my Wife's Dad refused to pay, and Mom couldn't afford daycare so she could go work and get outa the system? My wife's mom worked really hard to get out of it, and I don't think it fair to not mention that sometimes people are just down on their luck/situation. Previously she was in a marriage with planned pregenecies, then her husband became a coke addict and bailed, never paid or helped with anything.

Why is it fair that she should be generalized? This is my only point. It's really easy to be angry when we generalize. Society doesn't function in a manner where people always have a fair chance to get good footing, early in life. I'm not saying welfare is the answer for every problem, but I do think it's a word with alot of weight on it. Socialized healthcare, here in Canada, is a Nation Wide Welfare programme, for all people. Does that make Canada a bunch of dead beats and low lifes because they are on welfare, oh no! What is the world going too do? All these people buying lottery tickets up here to? When will this plague leave us?!?!? Sicial Security in the states, Social Welfare too? Bums the lot of em!

Have some compassion, you never know what your life still holds in store, right? Or are we just the types who think it's okay when WE need it?
