you should look up your city laws and your HOA rules. We use to have my sisters car parked in front our house while she was living in China, and one of our neighbors so rudely left us a letter with the rules stating that no car was allowed to be parked in an area for more than 72 consecutive hours. We just switched the car from one side of the driveway to the other every 3 days lol. Every place is different, and if it's technically his property (which I highly doubt) then he has every right to not allow you guys to part there. But like I said, just check out your local laws, and you could always call the police department yourself to see whether or not he has the right.
