lol I read that 3 times and it still confuses me. I don't know why words like sanskrit and upanishad and stuff makes my brain go fuzzy but when I read them I do!
As for the no-self/self thing tho, that part I did get. In my opinion, they are both talking about the same state of consciousness, just through different lenses.
"no self" is still a state of being which is the removal of the singular ego and recognizing the "full emptyness" of all things. That the thing you think of as "I" is everything, and everything is nothing (full, beautiful, nothing). "self" seems to be a state of being which is the removal of the singular ego and recognizing the "fullness" in all things, even emtpyness. That the thing you think of as "I" is nothing, and that nothing makes "I" everything (full, beautiful, everything).
to me, it sounds like two people looking at a glass of water and one person says it's 1/2 full and the other says it's 1/2 empty.
anyway, I want a pair of red glitter glasses....might make me too elton john tho...don't know if I can pull it off.
