What I would do.
I'd re-wash it with purified water,
rinse & repeat until the smell or you feel is enough.
If it's in bud form.
If it's all shake
too bad how good could it have been anyway?
What kind of load was it?
Did you use bleach.
If you did, I'd pass as well.

If you take the first hit and it leaves your mouth unusually dry or taste any chemicals... stop
Does it look like a giant lint ball?
You'd be smoking more cotton than weed.
