I realize that drug testing creates a very stressful situation for most people. IMO, hair tests for drug use long ago should not be permitted on the whim of an employer/potential employer, but I didn't get a vote. I truly am happy that those who have remained with the thread have passed your tests, and hope you remain on the forum and continue to help each other. I hope those who have tried various methods and did not post the results will return to do so. I especially commend ldavisa (who seems AWOL lately) for his individual responses and the personal encouragement he has given to so many forum users. I can see that he has freely given many hours of his time helping others, and this willingness to help strangers with their problems is a rare virtue in 2008. Before I return to the shadows, I send heartfelt best wishes to all of you.

You don't receive the results via report (from my experience both times) I was told that I passed and the results went to the employer. If you fail you have the right to obtain the report for legal reasons. But not getting a report (or a phone call from the testing center) is a good thing. A phone call from the employer is what I received both times. If you test positive a representative from the testing facility will call you to investigate as to why you tested positive in any of the panels tested for - they do this before sending the report to the employer (just in case there is an adequate explanation, i.e. you are on medication, such as ritalin, adderall, painkillers, etc. You will have to show proof of this or have your physician verify it, however).

I can only provide feedback on the Zydot shampoo, however, I think that they all work in the same ways. I used this as insurance; the method could very well work without it but please don't quote me on that. I can only tell you what worked for me. IMO, the mixture of aloe shampoo, bleach and hydrogen peroxide is vital. Everything else is extra added insurance. Except for the part in shaving/trimming your body hair. You don't want them to take sample from your body hair if you haven't treated them prior.
I would say, IMO, that if you use the shampoo mixture along with the cleansing/masking shampoo, you should be fine.

I smoked daily for months, then upon hearing from the company about an interview I stopped. It was exactly 28 days between my last smoke and the test this morning. I am about 5'10, was about 175 when receiving the call for an interview. I drank water daily, exercised, and lost about 15 pounds in that month so I am in decent shape. Daily I take a multivitamin, vitamin D, and Acai extract (lots of antioxidants and increased metabolism) . During this month I also added niacin daily. Therefore I have few worries about the urine test. However, I am very scared about the hair test.
I do wash my hair daily, and the shampoo I use is a natural mint green tea aloe shampoo sold at Trader Joes stores. I have no idea how much aloe is in it, and I do not let it soak on my head for long, but it is a good thorough wash daily. Also, my hair is only about 1.5 inches long right now, and like I said I haven't smoked for a month. Should I be entirely hopeless or is there a chance?
Thanks!

I would strongly recommend to follow the method regarding the shampoo mixture mentioned in this thread. It never hurts to be on the safe side, especially if you have smoked in the past month. If this was me, I would definetely use the aloe shampoo, hydrogen peroxide, bleach mixture as directed in this thread. Don't leave it up to chance. Also you could trim your hair down just a little bit more (slightly over 1"). Don't forget to trim body hair.

I would first bleach hair then redye it. Then I would start (depending on how much time you have) washing your hair vigorously with aloe. Then use cleansing shampoo (if you are able to get it-not the end of the world if you don't use it). Next step is to use the shampoo mixture discussed in this thread. I did this the day of testing, although you could probably do it a day or so before. But I did it the day of testing (along with the cleansing shampoo-Zydot) approx 3-4 hours prior to me leaving to get tested so I can only advise you on what worked for me.
