I remember a well known band, signed and on tour came to McAllen and our friends band opened up for them.
We got to hang out backstage.

saving enough to go on a "Working Vacation" or hobby.

the RIAA's days are numbered.
DIY Local Studio and distribution is the way to go.
You don't have to go to your nearest metropolis just to get noticed.
You could just stay in your bedroom and let them come to you.
