You`re missing a large part of the point Grieves.

Major record companies havn`t made much money from selling that teeny bopper shite and all the rest of it in the last decade or two, they`ve made it from re-issues of Pink Floyd, The Beatles etc etc.

Often tracks that don`t chart and have no mainstream exposure actually sell more records than the shit that`s rammed down our unfortunate throats.

The major record companies have become fat and stupid. They`re so complacent thinking they`ve sown up the whole game that they don`t mind running the industry into the ground by bad management.
