I'd ask for proof of her age if I were you. I know it seems like a lamesauce thing to do, but it's probably not a bad idea. I'm pretty sure that saying "I thought she was older than that" doesn't hold up in court. Once you are SURE that she's 16, I think it's safe. You're not even that much older than her, so I don't think you should have any reason to feel like a dirty old man.
