Stay out of debt and live free. Work when you want to. It's easy to budget out and know exactly how long you have to work and how much time you'll have free.

If college helps you get a job or be in a position that you want to be in then by all means. But don't let your head get slow, read books, atleast.

I don't think you have to except a cookie cutter life whole part and parcel. You can still used the same recipe as other people, job, partner, place to live/rent, go see movies, have a drink, whatever, nothing new under the sun type stuff, but that doesn't mean that you cookie has to look the same as everyone elses, know what I'm saying?

#1 if you don't want to work, stay out of debt and learn to live below your means. My wife and I have been doing it for years and for the last year we have both only been working minimally and had money for trips and savings and all that white picket stuff, but we did it all knowing that $15k was what we wanted to pull for.

Good luck, keep and open mind and learn to love change. Things that seem bad or hard at first can be the most rewarding times of our lives, based on what we take from those lessons.
