I do indeed enjoy a large new house Adventure. Most of that was funded through other means. I am currently on partial disability and it doesnt exactly pay a lot lol. Its essentially enough for 1 person to "get by" 1 month at a time.

The bulk of the money i made from disability was for the 4 years of back pay i had coming (do to the fact i was working a high paying job right before i was paralyzed). Also, my fiance's half of the civil lawsuit winnings from when her and my daughter were nearly killed in a car accident helped a lot. If you add the fact that over the last year or so i have returned to work as a project manager for a local Ad agency ( i come into work a few days a week and the rest is done online at home. So i am not a full time employee) then, yes i am doing well for myself and family despite being chronically ill. I am not ashamed of that in the least and never will be.

A lot of the people casting stones here lack a fundamental understanding of the US disability system and for that matter what health problems i have had and still have. Not to mention that no one on this site except me knows exactly how much i get paid through disability or what benefits i may or may not get. Any conclusions or insinuations by these people are based on figments of the their imagination or them just being butt hurt in general.

I do not post all the happenings of my life both good or bad on yahooka so to be able to draw a clear picture of my health, financial situation or anything else in that matter is impossible

to put it as simply as i can for the those not blessed with normal mental capacity the diagnoses of a progressive chronic illness does carry quite a bit of weight when it comes to disability status.
