I don't watch reality shows, or any television really.

I did a quick search and the article I found does not mention what drugs they od'd on.

Was it heroin? Did they OD on methadone?

Soma?

This most common use of cannabis is to get off heroin or opiates. That is why most pain patients use it.

I hear it works as well for DTs as it does for heroin withdrawal.
