3) An agenda item slated for discussion at the December 2009 Measure K meeting as initiated by Committee Member Jim King, puts forth the proposal that even fewer meetings than the current 2 per year be scheduled in the future.

4) Minutes of the meeting are not made available to Committee Members until roughly a week before the next meeting...That's approximately 5 months and 3 weeks later.

5) There is/was no Santa Cruz Police Department liaison (representative) present.

The Measure K Oversight Committe Meeting of June 15, 2009 : Indybay
I was at the meeting and plan to write an article about it. The Chair, Mary Lou Goekhe, was obviously appointed to sabotage the work of the committee and the intent of Measure K. As were the other two members, King and that other old fart.

Goekhe is also an executive director of the local United Way. In other words she represents the Chamber of Commerce, she is their ... downstairs maid.

The day after this another committee met, this one to outlaw smoking in Santa Cruz, not just in public, not just anywhere people are likely to gather, but in multi-unit residences - which includes most of the housing.

Which means I can expect them to toss me out in the street in a couple of years, just like they did 96-year-old, WWII Marine, Alice Welsh.
