it might be a good idea to read up a little on stages of growth and training
make yourself a better grower
those fan leaves dont need to be cut off at any stage, eventually they will yellow off and fall off in their own time
the only reason for cutting off leaves is to allow light to lower parts of the plant, but those initial leaf sets are most of your plant at this stage
try not to love them too much, ok?
when you are managing size you are mostly managing its height
you do this by cutting the main stem, or by tieing the plant down, or by commencing 12/12 earlier
combining these techniques is also possible
i dont think i'd be waiting until day 27 to go 12/12, but one of the indoor guys would know better
