If ritual magic, in any form, were real, then there would be but 1 religion. The one with the strongest magic.
If there was power in blood, then our serial killers would be free, not locked up behind bars. Anyone who had to have blood transfusions regularly, would rule the world. A surgeon, anyone in combat, yada, yada, yada.
I find that most people who believe in ritual magic are people who actually just want power over others.
My lame example:
Some friends are into a certain religion that uses ritual magic. They did a spell for a fellow member who needed a job. My thoughts were, if she wants a job, go out and look for one. What about the more qualified person? Maybe they deserve the job. She didn't get the job.
Don't confuse this with spirituality. Spirituality comes from within the person.
