I find that nyquil liquid works the best but i usually take the tabs. The work fuckin god damn wonders.
My mom is also on xanax that she rarely takes unless going to a social funtion or to the store she has really bad anxiety so if im having trouble sleeping she will give me 2-3 mgs then i drink a couple brews and im out.
personally i think the best thing that helps you sleep is waking up early and a nice hard day of work.
