Oh and I forgot to answer the question. Different places use different drug tests. For instance, most jobs just test for general opiates. This covers everything from heroin, to oxycontin, to vicodin, to methadone and so on. But when I was taking drug tests for my methadone program they used a test to look for methadone (to make sure you were taking it and not selling it), morphine (which covers morphine and it's derivative - Heroin), codeine, and then other semi synthetic opiates like hydrocodone/vicodin/lortab etc. Morphine, codeine, and buprenorphin or the three active chemicals in opium and they require seperate tests as far as I know.
So the answer is, if it's for a job I would imagine that you will just test positive for opiates not any specific type. But there's a chance I'm wrong. I just know that the standard drug test used for jobs tests usually tests for Thc, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, and sometimes even alcohol. The more comprehensive ones test for individual types of amphetamines and opiates, so they can tell exactly what youre abusing and if your taking your methadone.
