to me it all comes down to our ability to choose. this alone assures "light" the "advantage" imo
i'm right with ego about this light business. i've heard light described as a "flavoring," like the packet of sugar you put in your tea. it permeates, penetrates. . . the impression is impossible to escape. it is this property which i feel drives the dichotomy we perceive between light and dark. the choice always stares you in the face, becoming, for some, all the harder to withstand. but the ability is broken soon after the desire fades, for capitulation is imminent and refusal soon spells doom. it cannot be avoided. . . a minor devoted segment can saturate the whole with light.
