People like to stay in their comfort zone by continuing to perpetuate the myth that this generation is the greatest generation. We've been doing it for ever. We just can't seem to handle that we may not be as superior to our ancestors than we think...and the idea of the earth being different than it is now? Seems simple enough, but it's a scary theory to the human ego.
