Some random thoughts in my experience:

I think love is inherent, it's our inborn state. Yet security or the sense of it, has clouded that true open honest ability to act in love, for alot of people myself included.

Choosing to love is choosing to accept people and the fact they have faults, as you precieve them as such.

There is of course romantic love that acts more in the physical sense and pleasure, but also I have found that after 5 years of marriage that there is physical love associated to our bodies and pretaining to where we have taken them and the memories that we have created.

Love is choosing to work things out with people despite your pride and ego.

Loving is letting go of yourself and looking at the greater good to be had.

Love leads to compromise, each considering the other.

Love can caultivate a place of equanimity where we are all safe and secure to open up to each other.

Love then begats love starting a quite UN-vicious circle.

Love is the only thing to conquer hate/fear.

I love you
