im just starting to get into producing my own wine from meads, herbs, and fruit. i have a couple of fermenters and shit for homebrewing, but wine is a completely different beast. looks like fun though, and i bought a couple books on the subject that im now reading.
anyways, i always have prefered dry whites and sweet & fruity country wines over all. reds just have too much tannin in it... always tastes like oak trees and gym socks to me. no real brand name aficionado, but any decent dry white is good.
but if im drinking wine to get drunk and not for taste, i fucks with that carlos rossi rhine.
pour the shit over ice, get tow up.
