d. is driving me back into work yesterday morning around 9:30, up Hazlet towards pebbles. Near the top of the hill we see a tree trimming crew, two trucks...one is a boom crane , outriggers blocked and boom extended probably 40 feet @ a 45 deg. angle and swung to the side.
About 100 yards from a smaller 1 ton dump converted into a box truck to catch chips parked along the road...chipper in tow, we see the first flash of electrical sparks. (appearently someone wasn't watching the ball as it hooked the "top wire" of the telephone pole...swiftly delivering 18,000 volts thru the crane and coming out a two inch long one inch wide (and deep) hole in the crane operators leg).

Wires - doing what they do, proceeded to dance down the crane and to the ground ...where as luck would have it a nine year old was watching the workers barefoot in the very same yard.. waiting for his birthday celebrations scheduled for later that day.

what would you all have done ?
