Angry Need help with insects & worms....

Inside, I've got a couple of plants that are around a foot tall. When I watered them last night, I noticed several leaves that had been eaten on. The best way I know of to describe it is that the leaves looked like skeletons of their former healthy selves. Closer, careful inspection revealed two worms. One was about 3/4 inch long, and black with stripes that were almost a flourescent yellowish green. It appeared to be an adult. The other worm appeared to be a baby version of the adult worm. It was light grey in color. I also noticed quite a few tiny, tiny flying insects that looked about like gnats.

Can someone please tell me what kind of insecticide I can use to kill these critters; yet not hurt my plants? I'm not big on "all natural" remedies. They never have done very well for me. I would apply them to my veggies as directed; yet, I would still end up loosing quite a bit of my crop to the damnedable little creepy-crawlies. So, I'm not going down that road with the plants that I have now! I need something that I can spray on the plants to kill the current little bastards, and keep the future little bastards away/off of my plants. Yet, I need it to be something that won't damage my plants or poison me when I eventually harvest and smoke the buds.

Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice you have to offer!!
