I just saw it and it's great. I'd say the best sci-fi movie of the year. It does what all good science fiction is supposed to do which is use a speculative concept to tell a human story. It's very relevant to today's world politics and social problems. Miles above dross like GI Joe.

If there's one little quibble I have with it is that it never stays with one cinematic style for very long. The first 30 minutes it's this faux documentary/apartheid allegory. Then it's a classic alien possession story. Then it shifts again and basically becomes Aliens in Johannesburg. Again, I loved it all and it's always very good, but maybe it's chief fault it draws from too many influences and doesn't fully explore all the potential elements that the plot offers.

The ending leaves it very open to a sequel, but I hope they keep it at one movie. I can't imagine a studio searching for summer sci-fi profits not ruining what they've done here.
