wide spectrum and aquarium lamps are ok for veg.


problem with floros is ...

intensity, and cost to get enough of it. (for the number of ballasts and fixtures and bulbs).


1 - 250 watt hps is all a body needs for a begining to end grow of at least 5 health full sized plants (however I always pinch and dwarf)

It's not just watts remember...It's light temperature (in degrees kelvin 5500-6500 = day) and intensity (lumens or candela per sg. in/ft. = area to be lit.

also I believe pot prefers a stronger light at a greater distance....(straigh t or direct light rays (more coherent).
