I liked it, if only because of how odd some of the choices were. The basement scene, however, was about 20 minutes too long. Cut the card game ffs. I mean, there's payoff, but we know it's coming the whole time so when it just drags and drags and drags after a while I just tuned the fuck out.
I really liked the reversal with the "love story" and the main nazi guy was fantastic. I wished there was more of the Bastereds tho. And ffs, what the FUCK was MIKE MYERS DOIIING!? that scene was so odd lol.
I give it a C+. I did walk out of the theater with a good impression of the film and some of the interesting visual/directorial choices, but the pacing was waaay off.
And there was ZERO payoff for the Shoshanna/Nazi dude storyline. After the scene in the cafe with the streudel I was like "oh snap" but then nothing. Very odd
