I am a mid-forties person who tried pot two times in my freshman year of college. Neither time did I get high. About 4 years ago I got a "crick in the neck" after planting some flowers for my mom - about two hours work. I had pain like this a couple of times before, a sharp stabbing pain on one side of my neck where it was impossible to turn my head that direction. I would go to the doctor after I couldn't stand it anymore and would receive a course of muscle relaxers (Valium) and pain pills (Vicodin). The pain would go away in a week or so.
THIS TIME the pain stayed. Every day. Some days better. Some days it felt like a knife stuck in my neck and all I want is to lay on the floor with a pistol in my hand. Long story short. I had a narrowing of my spinal canal actually pinching the spinal cord. I could have easily died. I had surgery that corrected the physical issue - more room for my spinal cord.
Unfortunately, the pain did not go away, and the migraine headaches started. Here I am 4 years later. Same pain. I tried grass a few months ago as an experiment. I want to get off my narcotic pain relievers (some stronger stuff now that I am acclimated to the Vicodin). I am finding in my first few tries that pot does relieve my migraines. I am not sure about the neck pain yet. Not enough experience with the pot yet.
I am hear to learn more about the pain and depression relieving qualities of marijuana. I have a real problem getting hook ups since my friends and family don't use the stuff and I look like a cop to the people who could hook me up. I plan to try an indoor grow with a small bubbler hyro setup this winter. Unfortunately, I live in a non-legalized state.
So I am here for some info. too. Where to safely and reliably buy seeds for my experimental grow, and what type of seeds would really be best for my condition.
I would be very glad for any advise.
Oh, I am also here to enjoy the camaraderie and humor of those sharing my new hobby.
