Basically, to cut a long story short, I kicked a guy in the balls outside a club after my friend had already beaten him up. Now I'm facing assault and battery charges and there were two witnesses present at the time of the incident. My friend wants to intimidate the witnesses into not testifying but we don't know where to find them.
I'm hoping to argue self defense on the basis that I felt the other gentleman was about to get up and resume attacking my friend after he turned his back on him. If not, I'm considering asking for leniency on the basis that I was high on marijuana at the time (even though I wasn't really), and therefore not in control of my own actions.
I'll be seeing my lawyer tomorrow, but if anyone can offer any sound legal advice or even just advice in general I'd appreciate it.
