are you his oldest daughter? i have daughters and i can only imagine the kind of things that would be going through my head if they ever told me they were leaving. there would definitely be a good bit of anger on such short notice also, but i don't know if this kind of reaction might be common from him and that's why you put off telling him for so long. i only hope i'm raising them to know they can always be open and honest with me (or at least their mother for the more touchy things, but i hope they could talk with me as well). just know he's showing how much he cares for you even though it might not seem like it.
